There's a New Recall and Minnesota Is Affected

If you have some ground beef in your fridge or freezer, you may want to throw it out.

According to CBS News:

Two companies recalled their ground beef products this week due to possible E. Coli contamination, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food and Safety Insepection Service said. Grant Park Packaging in Franklin Park, Illinois, has recalled 53,200 pounds of raw ground beef products and K2D Foods in Carrollton, Georgia, has recalled approximately 113,424 pounds of raw ground beef products.

So far, 177 people have been contaminated and 21 have been hospitalized. No deaths have been reported thus far.

Kentucky, Tennessee and Georgia haveseen the most cases, followed by Ohio, Florida and Virginia. Indiana, Illinois, Mississippi and Minnesota have also been affected. "States are investigating additional illnesses that might be a part of this outbreak," the CDC said.
